I feel a lot like Shawn: I just listened and liked Epilogue for Lisa. I could feel Shawn's pain in the music. I was born on the same day Shawn was born on, March 21st, and the Lord's revealed to me his music. I was surprised and saddened when I found out that he'd left this earth. But I pray he had Christ, so we could play as brothers in the kingdom of heaven. I really enjoy Shawn's music, and I'm dumfounded and flaburgasted by his blistering quick guitar technique. Since God's revealed to me his music, I'm going to list him as one of my musical influences. I hope the Lord keeps his mother, sisters, daughter, and nephew safe.

I discovered Shawn's music through a college music professor who studied with him in Memphis. I wish I could have seen him in person.

Shawn's music, like his spirit, will live on with all the intensity, passion, joy and love that he put into it. It will live on forever every time one of us plays a CD for someone who has never heard of him. Long may he live!

Its a real tragedy that such a master guitar player was taken from the world. He is a major influence in my onw playing and i love his music so much.

Today is the first day that I have ever heard Shawn Lane's music and I just love it. It makes me happy knowing that his music lives on for all of us to enjoy. May God forever bless his family and may Sean continue to entertain the angels in heaven.

I'm totally amazed at how great a musician Shawn was. I know it will be a while before someone will come to be half the musician he was. He left behind a mark that a few very talented musician's may come close to in their lifetime. I know he is in heaven making GOD happy with his music. I wish I would have had the chance to meet him or even better to work with him.

Over the past couple years, Shawn Lane has been a major influence to push myself harder towards my guitar goals. I hope one day I am able to play a millionth as well as Shawn did. Shawn, your memory will forever live on through your astounding, influential music!

Shawn was truly touched by God. His music is sooo amazing! I can't imagine a better guitarist. I feel that people that have not heard his playing are missing something magical. The powers of Ten album always puts a smile on my face no matter what kind of day i've had - that's a true artist. If all of the "Great Ones" are jamming in Heaven, then Shawn is holding court.

I have been a major fan of experimental guitarists in popular music - Hendrix, Beck, Mclaughlin, Zappa, Garcia etc. The guys who transcend any labels or categorization. I hadn't even heard Shawn Lane till a month ago! A close friend of mine who heard and befriended the Lane, Hellborg team in Kolkata, India(where they performed in 2003)put me onto his music. Now i can't get enough of him and his music. in fact i am becoming somewhat obsessive about his music!! He is one of the greatest guitar players i have heard period. There's nothing this man couldn't do. What a talent. My only regret is not knowing about him earlier. Why do only the good die young?
